Every night after bath the lotion man (aka Mom) comes and rubs lotion on Emily. She has now caught on to the lotion man and thinks that the pump of soap is the same thing as the lotion I use. Enjoy the video of her dad following around as she pretends she is the lotion man.

Our funny little girl!
As most of you know, Tommy and I just got back from a wonderful vacation. Tommy's parents had the joy of watching Emily (and Belle) while we were gone. It was so nice being able to sleep in and not have to worry about feeding anyone but myself all week long, but I have to say by day 5 I was ready to get back to my girls. When we got back, Emily was very excited to see us. Tommy told me he was going in first so she would love him for a minute before I got there, but instead they met us outside. Emily was very excited to see both of us and gave us the hugs and kisses we had been missing (Belle did too!) Tommy's parents did a great job of informing us all about the funny things Emily did while we were gone. Here are a couple:
When we left on Monday morning Emily wasn't really thrilled about it. Aparently she cried hysterically for like 30minutes after we left. Which as most of you know is not like Emily. Mammie and Papa tried a couple of things, but all Emily kept telling them was "nite nite" So they put her in her bed and stood there thinking she really didn't want to go back to bed, but then she said, "No Mammie, get out!" So there Emily laid for thirty minutes until she got it together and then was ready for the day.
Another day Mammie went to sit in one of our two Lazyboy chairs and Emily said, "No Mammie, thats mamas chair." So Mammie, listening to the little boss, goes to get in the other chair when Emily proceeds to tell her, "No Mammie thats daddy's chair, you sit over there" and pointed to the couch. It's good to know she was thinking about us while we were gone.
It has been great to be back and be able to spend this week with her, except for the fact it has been raining since Sunday and I am so sick of being stuck inside. At least Emily can keep me laughing. Here are two more funny Emily stories from this week.
The other morning while eating breakfast we were talking about different things when I turned my Alabama tumbler cup around and asked her "What is this?" I was expecting the answer to be elephant, but Emily said, "Alabama" in a funny, serious voice. That took me by surprise so laughing I ask her, what do we say for Alabama? She said "ROLL TIDE" and rolled her arms. Who says you can't teach them young!
This morning I was watching TV and they had a blurp of whats coming up this afternoon on NBC ad with pictures about the Martha Stewart show at 2:00 and Ellen at 3:00 when Emily stops and says, "Hey there's Cali." So I am not sure who she thinks is Cali, so I rewind and pause it so she can go and point to Aunt Cali. She pointed to the picture of Ellen. I am not sure why she thought it looked like Cali, but of course that made me laugh and gave me a good excuse to bother Cali this morning at work.
Sorry it is long and I am going to get better at updating it more often. I hope you enjoy it though.
