First Trip of the Summer-Hilton Head Island

SUMMER LOVIN'

The kids and I went and spent a week at my parents house. It is sad to say that the last time we were there was the end of July last year. This trip was long overdue. We filled our week with lots of fun activities.

The first day we headed to the beach. The kids had lots of fun. They both are fearless when it comes to the ocean and had lots of fun jumping waves.

Then on Tuesday we went to Lawton Stables where we visited the petting zoo and the kids got to ride ponies. They loved getting to pet the animals and even ride them!

Wednesday we decided to let my dad be our captain and take us on a great boat ride to lunch. It was a beautiful day and we saw tons of dolphins. We actually had a dolphin follow our boat back down the river so close we could have touched it. (We did not attempt that!) The kids loved seeing them and Cole did a great job spotting them with his favorite phrase "There it is!".

Then on our last day, my dad and I took the kids back to the beach in an attempt to ware them out before our car ride home. Overall it was a great start to summer, we just wished Tommy could have been there too. We are looking forward to our trip back at the end of July with the Chromek's.

Who has a Blog?

I almost forgot my login for the blog it has been that long. I guess when people say life is busy, they know what they are talking about. As most of you know, I took over a maternity leave teaching in October and taught through the end of the school year. I am now in my second week of summer and am still trying to catch up.

Not too much exciting has happened over the last 9 months. The kids are still funny as ever and growing so fast. They love (and hate) to play together. They like to be silly and make each other laugh. We haven't been traveling a whole lot, but now that it is summer we have planned lots of trips. I promise to update this throughout the summer (and hopefully the fall) so you can see all the fun we are having!
