Baby Shower

This past weekend our friends Bryan and Adrianna threw us a couples baby shower. It was so great to be able to get together to celebrate this excitig time. We are so fortunate to have such good friends to celebrate with. Cole got lots of great things and we all had a blast.

Pregnancy Update

Today I had my 36 week check-up only to find out that Cole is going to be one big baby. The ultrasound said he is approximatly 9lb 1oz. That is give or take a pound, unfortunately Emily went to the bigger side of her ultrasound. Wish me luck as this big boy continues to grow. I am thinking/hoping he will be here sooner than later since they grow about a half a pound a week.

This is the most recent picture I have of me this pregnancy and that was taken at 34 weeks when we went to my 10 year high school reunion. Don't mind silly Emily in front. She really wanted to be a part of the picture. I will keep you all updated with my progress. Before long there will be pictures of Cole on here too.

Getting Ready for Cole

We are just about a month away from meeting our sweet baby Cole. Lots of things have been happening at the house to get ready for him. I must say all of us, including Emily have been busy preparing. There are only a few small things left to do, but for the most part we are ready for our new bundle of joy. In order to get ready, we had to switch some rooms around. Emily now has a new "Big Girl" room with a big girl bed. I think she really is enjoying her bed. That is one of the first things she wants to show people when they come to the house. It's hard to believe how big she is getting. This is a picture of her new room.

Cole's room is what used to be our office. There are still a few things we need to get out of there before he arrives, but hopefully we still have a couple of weeks. We decided since the deer heads were already on the wall, we would stick with that theme. Believe it or not they actually make some cute bedding that went with that theme. I have been very busy being "crafty" to help get his room together. I made his window valances and painted the letters above his crib.

I am pretty amazed at how it all came out. I never thought I had it in me. My favorite part of getting the room ready was when Tommy was hanging the curtains. Emiy kept getting the screws and tools from the tool box and saying, "Here Tommy, do you need this?" This made us all laugh. That is now her new favorite phrase when we are working around the house.
Now all we have left to do is wait and have fun out and about until he gets here. We are doing our best to keep Emily very busy and entertained before her life as an only child is changed. She is so helpful, so I know she will be a great big sister.

Baby Boy Manning

We thought it would be fun as the arrival of baby boy Manning nears to start a baby pool. As most of you know the due date is September 15th. Please enter your guess for due date and weight. Those are the two winning factors. The length and time will be used in the event of a tie. The person with the closest guess will be awarded a lovely gift. So good luck and happy guessing. Don't worry it doesn't hurt my feelings if you think this little boy will be huge!
