Here is a fun little video of Emily and Cooper playing in the puddles after the storm in Ocean Springs. They were too funny.

4th Of July Fun
For the 4th of July weekend we headed to Ocean Springs. As we were driving I was trying to think how many years we have been going to OS for the 4th and I think this was our 7th year. The car ride started just Tommy and I and maybe one stop 7 years ago, now the car is a little more packed and we have added an extra stop or two, but once we are there it is just as much fun. This year we left really early and got to Ocean Springs by lunch time. Emily had a ton of fun getting into all sorts of things at Mammie and Papas house. Cali, Gannon and Cooper got into town later Thursday night, so Friday morning Emily was very surprised to see Aunt Cali, Uncle G and Cooper.

Friday we had a big day at the pool. Emily and Cooper swam like little fish. Emily actually jumped off the diving board. She has no fear! Later in the morning we were joined by the cousins for Gulf Shores. It was so fun having everyone together to swim and hang out. We had such a great visit and of course great food and drinks (for everyone else).
In addition to having such a great visit. I got to experience a couple of firsts. On Friday night we were heading out for our annual night out in Biloxi when we went through a road block. Good news I was driving so there were not too many worries there, just a little bit of panic in the back seat. We are still trying to clarify if MS has an open container law!

Then on Saturday we had all come in from the pool because it was about to storm. While inside everyone decided to relax and rest. I decided to go lay in the bed with Emily when I was awoken by lightening, thunder and things banging into the window of the room we were in. As I was thinking to myself is this a tornado, Tommy came and told me we should probably get up the weather is pretty bad. Needless to say there was a very small tornado that sent patio furniture flying, trees breaking and knocked the power out. It was quite an eventful 4th of July. Good news is no one was hurt and there wasn't any damage to the house.

Once again it was a great trip back and we look forward to another one later this year.
